Waiver of Liability. This release is intended to discharge in advance King’s Land Chess, including all of its respective agents, officials, volunteers, sponsors and employees, from and against any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with me or my child/legal guardian’s participation in the above activities, even though the liability may arise out of active or passive negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. I understand the inherent risks involved in participating in recreational activities including but not limited to terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participant, equipment, and lack of hydration. Furthermore, I hereby agree that I, my heirs and assignees will not make claim against, sue, attach the property of, or prosecute King’s Land Chess and any sponsor, or any affiliate organization for injury or damage resulting from active or passive negligence, carelessness or other acts, howsoever caused by any employee, agent or contractor of King’s Land Chess or its affiliates, as a result of my participation in the above activities. In the event that the above named individual is a minor, I certify that I am the legal parent or guardian of the above participant, that he/she is in good physical condition and I give my permission for him/her to participate in the above activities. I hereby acknowledge that the above named minor has voluntarily applied to participate in the above activities. I agree to accept and abide by all rules and regulations of the event/program and King’s Land Chess. King’s Land Chess and its staff are authorized to use their discretion to secure the necessary emergency services for the participant at my expense. This includes, but is not limited to emergency treatment, paramedic services and ambulance services. I hereby grant permission to King’s Land Chess to release my email address to contract instructors, coaches, or other King’s Land Chess program providers for business purposes. I hereby grant permission to King’s Land Chess to take me or my child/legal guardian’s photo while participating in activities or programs to use for publicity. A signature is required by each adult participant registering on this form. One parent/legal guardian may sign for all minors. I understand that my signature is a legal and binding signature and will be considered original if received by electronic means. *

Audio-Video-Photo Waiver Release. I hereby grant King’s Land Chess the right to use and reproduce any and all photographs, video clips, and/or audio clips taken of my child in conjunction with their involvement at KLC in any school newsletters, brochures, web sites, flyers and publications, or any outside school approved publications such as newspaper, magazines, web sites promoting the school or reporting on activities associated with the school. I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished version(s) of such images including written copy that may be created in connection therewith. Consent is also granted for any use of my child’s name in any part of those publications listed above. I understand that photos/audio/video used by the school for the reasons stated above, are considered the property of King’s Land Chess and may not be sold or reused without the express consent of school officials or administration. I understand that there is no monetary compensation for use of my child’s image and that this waiver/release is good for the entire time that my child is enrolled at King’s Land Chess. *

All classes are Non-refundable. Maximum credit two lessons to the next session. If missing more than two classes, students could take make-up classes. Please redeem credits or make-up classes in King’s Land Chess within three months. No refunds or make ups will be given for tardiness and leaving class early. Students may be withdrawn from the program without refund if they are disruptive to the class for disciplinary reasons or if they are not picked up promptly at the end of the class. *

Face Mask and Covid-19 Protocols. In all KLC in-person class and camps, face masks are optional. Hand Sanitizer will be offered. It is the responsibility of every student and their parent/guardian to determine the potential risks and participation in KLC in-person class and camp. Ultimately, it is an individual decision on whether or not to join the class. *
