Complimentary Trial Class Before Enrollment
Welcome to King’s Land Chess! We’re excited to have you explore our programs and warmly invite all new students to enjoy one complimentary trial and assessment class before enrolling.
During the trial class, our coach will assess your child’s current skill level and may recommend a different class placement if needed. This evaluation helps us understand your child’s familiarity with piece movement, basic strategies, and overall game experience, ensuring they are placed in the class best suited to their learning needs.
Please let the coach know upon arrival that your child is attending a trial class.
How to Book a Trial Class
To ensure the best learning experience for every student, please review our Initial Self-Evaluation guidelines before registering for a trial class. If a student’s current chess level or rating does not meet the requirement for the selected trial class level, KLC may reschedule the trial class to a more appropriate level based on the student’s actual ability.
Trial classes take place during our regular group class schedule.
- Choose your preferred campus, class level, and date to register for a trial class.
- After completing registration, simply arrive at the selected class and inform the coach that your child is attending a trial session.
- During the lesson, our coach will observe and assess your child’s level and provide placement recommendations. The coaches may recommend a different placement to ensure the best learning experience.
- Each student is eligible for one complimentary trial class.
- Returning students who require a level reassessment after a break should log in to their KLC account and register for a class; standard tuition rates will apply.
