Team USA for World Cadet/Youth Championship
USCF Officially Representatives for World Cadets Championship and World Youth Championship​

The KLC Team USA project started training in the summer of 2020. This project is divided into three gradients. In the first stage, the goal is to meet the peak post-tournament (PPT) rating and activity criteria in the age and gender categories and qualified for USCF Officially Representatives for World Cadets Championship. Then the qualified student will study in the second gradient, intensive and higher level training. Then they will join the National Master Sprint team. 
Aim of Training 教学目标
Reach U8, U10, U12 Qualification requirement of US National Team 
Boys: Rating 1600 under 8 years old, 1900 under 10. 
Girls: Rating 1200 under 8 years old, 1500 under 10, 1700 under 12.
Send excellent players to US team. Lay solid foundation for sprinting higher goal.

​Training Features 课程特色
Educate for fun, take interest cultivation first
Focus on Middle Game tactics & strategy, and Endgame theory. 
Preliminary understanding of the Opening Repertoire. 
Building solid chess learning foundation as teaching goal.
The training is 1-2 years plan, with clear goals; 
Students will move to a higher level class after reaching the requirement.

​Registration requirements 报名要求
Boys: Rating 800 at the age of 6 and 1200 at the age of 7
Girls: Rating 500 at the age of 6 , and 800 at the age of 7
          (or the same level based on coach evaluation)
  • Showing strong feelings and opinions in chess, with highly curious and initiative.
  • Parents are very supportive and willing to actively cooperate with coach.
  • Willing to invest time in intensive training and can participate in rated tournaments often.

女生6岁等级分500分，7岁800分（或根据教练评估达到同等水平）

​Training Schedule and Time 课程计划及安排
Online training in small group of 4. Boys and girls in separate groups. 
Two classes per week, one hour for each class, one to two year plan.
  • Boys group: Saturday afternoon 3:45 – 4:45; the second class is TBD
  • Girls group: Saturday afternoon 5:00 – 6:00; the second class is TBD
男女生分组教学，小组网上授课。每班仅招收 4名学生一周两次，一周两次课，一次课一小时，一到两年计划。第二次课再做安排。
  • 男生组：周六下午3:45 – 4:45；第二次待定

如何判断自己的孩子适合冲刺班

​Interests:      Children show extremely strong interest.
Talent:          Demonstrate agile reaction ability, strong chess intuition.
Active:          Children love games, take the initiative.
Time:            Children are willing to spend more time on chess.
Parents:        Very supportive. Have time to accompany kids training and 
                      tournaments; must accompany in the class.
Homework:   Can actively complete the homework (large workload).
Tournament: Parents have time to accompany the tournament. At least one   
                       tournament every 1-2 weeks (a full-time parent is best).
Goal:             Sprint goal is clear.
兴趣：孩子展现出极其浓厚的兴趣。
天赋：展示出敏捷的反应能力 棋感强。
主动：孩子喜爱对弈，主动积极。
时间：孩子愿意在付出更多的时间在棋上面。
