2023 KLC Summer Intensive Training Program
9 weeks summer camp 6/5 - 8/3. Whole Day camp 9am - 4pm, Morning Session 9am -12pm, Afternoon Session 1pm - 4pm.
All camps teaching materials are designed to be unique and different from one another. This means that no two camps will have the same teaching materials. This allows campers to experience new and different materials each time.
KLC Summer Intensive Training Program is a one-of-a-kind tournament-based program. This unique experience creates an environment for students to discover chess opening, middle game, and endgame and concept exploration. The KLC Summer Intensive Training Program provides some of the highest-level training for children and teens in California. KLC Team USA Chess Program is one of the top scholastic programs in the United States. In 2022 our team had 10 students qualified for Team USA and participated in World Cadet/Youth Chess Championship — highest level scholastic chess tournament in the world.
KLC Summer Intensive Training Program is focus on discovering player’s chess intuition. Chess Intuition is the ability to know or understand something instinctively, even without conscious reasoning. In a game of chess this would imply that we instinctively know which moves are best – even before we’ve analyzed them properly. It is a miraculous way to instantly draw from the wealth of our deepest knowledge and experience.
Topics of discovery also focus on the knowledge from the three phases of the game which include Opening, Middle game, and Endgame. Study through learning, playing, critical thinking, team work, analyzing games, and experiences sharing.
KLC Summer Intensive Training Program help children improve their individual skills through high-quality instruction, thoughtful evaluation, and supervised game play and analysis skills.
This summer, we are offering nine weeks intensive training camps from 6/5 to 8/3. Teaching materials are different in each week. We welcome any child of age 5 -17 years old and are opening for All Levels of Chess Players. During the day kids will get an opportunity to practice tournament games, enjoy our chess lectures, group chess analysis, individual chess training, and team match/blitz/puzzle contest/tournament/simultaneous with our professional chess coaches. Kids will be divided into small groups based on their level and age.

Level 2 - Intermediate I and II level, USCF Rating 500-1000
Level 3- Intermediate II+ levels, USCF Rating 800+

Master Camp Half Day - USCF Rating 500-1000 Group and USCF Rating 1000+ Group
Online Camp Morning - for all level players.

A Day in the Life of Chess Camper
Preparation of the in-person class
- Face masks are optional.
- We will provide chess sets and teaching materials.
- We will provide Hand sanitizer. All chess equipment will be sanitized at least twice daily. There are also air purifiers in the room that can clean up and fresh the air in 15 minutes.
- We will provide snack and water.
- Parents pick up and drop off only.
